A Seal, Talisman or Parchment is an important part of many rituals .

For those who wish to master the art of magical achievement, there are numerous occult aids which may be of value. Some of these tools are amulets, charms, symbols, and talismans. These are objects inscribed with a magic incantation or sign that stands for or suggests something else by reason of relationship, association, convention, or accidental resemblance-a visible sign of something invisible.
They are worn or carried to avert harm, ward off misfortune, protect against danger, to bring good, insure fortunate events and attract love, luck and favorable conditions.

BASIC CANDLE RITUAL WITH A SEAL
Using seals in connection with candles is an appropriate and convenient way to employ their mystical powers.
The simplest of candle rituals are those where only one candle is used, along with a symbol, a talisman, or a seal which is placed beneath a candle and the candle is lighted and burned until it is consumed.
Any seal may be used. Or, the talisman can be some hair clippings from the lover one wishes to draw closer. It can be a secret wish which has been written on parchment paper, or a photograph of an enemy who is causing trouble in one's life.
The most used amulets are printed designs which have been made for a particular purpose, commonly called seals.

Seal Ritual
After you have selected the seal to be used, consecrate it by placing it between the palms and hold the hands together in a "praying hands" position. Keep the hands close to the chest, with both thumbs in direct contact with the body, and repeat sincerely three times:
Eternal and Infinite Spirit, with humility I ask, with love I invite, and with faith I beseech thee. Infuse this token with the virtue of power and the force of universal strength.
The seal can then be placed beneath the candle and its flame ignited. After the candle has burned out, destroy the seal by burning it in a fireproof dish or an incense burner, and scatter the ashes outside the home.
ANOINTING A SEAL
To heighten & intensify the powers of symbolic seals, many persons consecrate them with an oil which has been chosen as applicable to the purpose toward which they are working. Unless specific or different instructions are given for a particular ritual, here is the most generally accepted way to magnetize the seal.
First moisten the fingertips with the oil to be used & place a dot of it at each corner of a square seal. Start at the top left, then bottom right, bottom left, & top right. Then connect the corners by beginning at the upper right corner & moving the finger downwards & around the seal, ending as you reach the top right corner again.
On a circular seal, apply four dots of oil, in sequence, to the north, south, east, and west points at the outer edge of the paper, skin or whatever material the seal is made of. Then connect the dots, beginning at the north, going in a counter clockwise direction, and ending back at the north point, completing the circle.
Usually, the consecration is repeated once a week unless other instructions are given in the suggested ritual.
BASIC USES OF SEALS
Use your seal, along with your meditation or prayers, several times each day, for a minimum of seven consecutive days. Belief is the most important secret that can be revealed to you. If you believe there is a solution to a problem or a pathway to your goal, in belief you will find the answer or the way. You will achieve the mental magnetism you have been lacking in order to conquer your enemies, resolve your dilemmas, overcome obstacles, and control your destiny.
